Lighthouse
Three Lighthouse cities – Valladolid in Spain, Nottingham in UK, Tepebasi/Eskisehir in Turkey – will lead the way in defining and applying an integrated and sustainable model of urban regeneration.
They will be acting as advanced cities to validate the urban regeneration model, implementing a set of advanced and innovative measures in the sectors of Energy, Mobility and ICTs.
Furthermore two Follower cities - Seraing in Belgium and Miskolc in Hungary – have been involved to assure the replicability of the model and to support the transformation of other European cities into smart cities.

Follower cities, ensuring the model replicability
- Seraing (Belgium) – an industrial city with vast urban regeneration programs
- Miskolc (Hungary) – a smart city flagship in Hungary
